International Women’s Day - Tucker, GA

On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025 more than 300 people showed up to march and show their resistance to the shreding of our consitution by people who don’t believe our government is of the people, by the people and for the people. They marched to show their resistance to the consolidation of power under the Administrative branch of our government. They marched to show that the people have the power in our democracy and not the billionaires.

Our International Women’s Day march was a huge success. Over 300 people participated in the march down Main Street in Tucker, GA. We took to the streets to show our persistent resistance against the tidal wave of Executive Orders and DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) directives that have rolled back (DEI) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs and initiatives that affect women's lives in every facet of life and have resulted in the firing of tens of thousands of federal government employees. As well as the arbitrary cuts to programs like USAid and the plans to dismantle the Department of Education, which will put teachers’ job at risk, especially teachers of children with special needs. The current administration is also working to consolidate power within the administrative branch of our government as outlined in the Project 2025 plans.

Several marchers decided to grab lunch together at one of the restaurants who provided moral support to our group, The Village Burger. We would like to take this opportunity thank Mint Coffee for donating coffee to our protesters so everyone was wide awake and full of energy for our march.
