Reproductive Freedom For All Georgia - Building Bridges: Advocacy Day 2025

It all begins with an idea.

I was back at the Capital Building in Atlanta, GA yesterday for Reproductive Freedom for all Georgians: Building Bridges: Advocacy Day. I meet some incredible, smart and empathetic people who belive in a Women’s Right to reproductive healthcare.

I met Amber Thurman’s mother, Shanette Williams. She told us the heart breaking details of her daughter’s death due to a technically in Georgia’s 6 week abortion ban. What happened to Amber could happen to anyone’s daughter.

Abortion isn’t an abstract issue it is a life and death issue with as many facets as there are women on earth. Abortion is healthcare. Our government has no place in making healthcare decisions for anyone.

If it’s against your religious beliefs then don’t have an abortion. Freedom of religion means your religious rights end where someone else’s rights begin. It’s time to take the government out of the healthcare business.

DeKalb Dems Day at the Georgia Capital

DeKalb Dems Day at the Georgia capital building, March 6, 2025.

On Thursday, March 6th John and I went to the Georgia state capital for DeKalbs Dems day. It was a beehive of activity. Getting invovled and advocating for our beliefs, has made us both feel better about the future. Fire, Elon Musk Rally

Fire Elon Musk rally at the Tesla dealership in Alpharetta, GA.

https://indivisible.org held a Fire Elon Musk rally today in Alpharetta, GA. Over one hundred (100) people participated in the March. People were lining both sides of Upper Hembree Rd. Nearly everyone was carrying a sign demanding Musk and DOGE’s activites be terminated immediately.

Elon Musk wasn’t elected or appointed through a consitutionally created process to create a new cabinet department. Congress didn’t pass any new laws or vet Elon Musk for a position in our government, that would give him legal access to our personal / private information.

Stay tuned for more information about the Pocketbook Brigades activites and our support of other organizations persistantly resisting 47’s presidential administration.
