Pocketbook Brigade is powered by volunteers. Whether you have five minutes or five hours a week, there is a place for you here. Every contribution matters and every person who gets involved makes our community stronger.
Research and Outreach Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to help us grow our community reach and keep our resources current.
Event Research
Help us find dates and locations of community marches, civic forums, consumer education events, and other gatherings happening across the country. Once verified, events are added to our Calendar of Events so our community can find and attend them.
Media and Outreach Research
Help us build and maintain a list of community leaders, journalists, podcasters, bloggers, and media contacts we can send press releases to, request interviews with, and invite to our events. We are looking for contacts who are interested in civic engagement, consumer empowerment, and community action.
Even a few minutes a week makes a difference. If you enjoy searching the internet for community events and contacts, this role is for you.
Event and March Organizer
Multiple cities and communities across the country
As an Event Organizer, you are the local face of Pocketbook Brigade in your town or city. You will be responsible for spreading the word about upcoming events, serving as the point of contact for attendees, and helping build community at each gathering.
What the role involves:
- Promoting events in your local community through social media, word of mouth, and community networks
- Serving as the on-the-ground point of contact before and during events
- Gathering contact information from attendees who want to stay connected
- Speaking briefly before the event to welcome attendees and share the mission
What we provide:
- Poster making supplies for each event
- Reimbursement for any out-of-pocket materials
- Support finding local sponsors for coffee, water, and snacks
This is a rewarding, flexible volunteer role that makes a direct impact in your community.
